Gates' Backed Uversity Finds More Funding
Uversity, the educational analytics startup backed by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, said Wednesday that it has raised additional funding, bringing the company's total raised to $11.4M. Exact size of the funding round was not disclosed. Uversity said the funding was led by Learn Capital, and also included the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Retro Venture Partners. Uversity is based in San Francisco, and develops predictive analytics software to help colleges and universities predict their incoming classes, and help them direct resources to the students who are most likely to enroll--all based on those students' behavior and response to outreach.
