Bill Gates Donates $4.6 Billion To Charity Efforts

Microsoft founder Bill Gates has just donated $4.6 billion in Microsoft stock to charity, in a donation to his nonprofit Gates Foundation, which he runs with wife Melinda. The donation was first disclosed in an SEC filing on Monday. The funds come on top of an earlier, $5 billion Gates donated to start the foundation in 2000. Bill Gates, and the foundation, have not announced any details on the donation. Apparently, Bill Gates has so far donated more than $18 billion to the charitable fund.
