SolarWorld Ties With Enphase Energy

Hillsboro, Oregon-based SolarWorld said today that it has linked up with Enphase Energy, in a strategic partnership around Enphase's microinverter products. SolarWorld--which manufactures photovoltaic solar panels--said Enphase is now formally its supplier of microinverter systems for SolarWorld's custom-engineered solutiosn in the US and worldwide. Financial details of the strategic partnership were not disclosed. Hillsboro is SolarWorld's US headquarters; the company is headquartered worldwide in Germany. Enphase's microinverters are used to convert DC power from photovoltaic panels into usable, AC power--at the panels, a technique which promises to be more efficient than current inverter technology.
