Onvia Launches Upgrade

Seattle-based Onvia, which develops software for tracking the spending and contracting opportunities for business from government, has upgraded its flagship software, the company said today. The company said it released Onvia 7, which it described as a "major upgrade" to its core platform. Onvia helps government contractors by providing bid notifications to those companies, helping them to link up with contacts in agencies, and also help companies find bid notices and other opportunities. The company said the biggest update to the software was an improvement to search engines technology to help identify the right keywords to detect opportunities in government bids.
