Amazon Offers Up $5,000 College Scholarships

In a move to attract more students to its Amazon Student offerings, Seattle-based Amazon.com is giving away 50, $5,000 college scholarships to undergraduates, plus $500 to spend on textbooks at Amazon.com. Amazon said the new Amazon Student Scholarship is open to members of its Amazon Student service, who are U.S. undergraduates enrolled full time at an accredited, nonprofit two- or four-year school. Deadline to apply is November 20th, and Amazon said it would select winners based on GPA, community involvement, and leadership experience, plus an essay.
