Techstars Seattle Picks Ten Companies For New Class
Techstars Seattle, the startup accelerator here run by Andy Sack, has announced ten companies for the program's 2014 class. According to Sack, the group receive over 600 applications for the ten spots this year. The companies selected for the program this year were Stand In (Portland, mobile app design); Crowsnest (Syracuse, software for controlling air conditioners, light bulbs, and other devices); Garmentory (curated fashion shopping); Colatris (Mountain View, localized mobile apps); LiveStories (Seattle, data tools); StreamLine (Stanford, customer service); TouchBase (Seattle, sales presentation software on mobile); Exploration Labs (San Francisco, B2B sales cheat sheets); Magikflix (Seattle, curated kids videos); True Facet (luxury marketplace for jewelry and watches). The companies all go through a three month accelerator program, with a final Demo Day presentation to investors and others in the Seattle tech community.
