Amazon Pumps Fire Phone Apps

Seattle-based Amazon.com said today that the rate of app submissions to its Amazon Appstore has more than doubled, since the launch of its Amazon Fire phone. Amazon--in typical fashion--said that app submissions are "at record levels" to the store since that launch. Amazon also said that app developers are specifically taking advantage of two of its technologies, Dynamic Perspective and Firefly, as part of those apps. Dynamic Perspective uses the phone's sensors to feed information to apps; Firefly is a object and text recognition technology to pull information from the real world.
