Amazon Debuts Fire Smartphone With AT&T

Seattle-based Amazon.com launched its own smartphone Wednesday, called the Amazon Fire, in a deal with AT&T, in the company's first foray into a smartphone platform. According to Amazon, the Amazon Fire Phone includes features such as one-handed navigation and gestures, immersive apps, as well as image recognition features and optical stabilization, as well as a year of free Amazon Prime service. Amazon said that the Fire will cost anywhere from $199 to $649, depending on specific AT&T wireless plan; the company says the new smartphone will ship July 25th.
