Carbon Design Acquired By Oculus VR
Seattle-based Carbon Design, the industrial design and product engineering team behind the Microsoft Xbox 360 controller, has been acquired by virtual reality technology developer Oculus VR. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed. Oculus--which is now owned by Facebook--said it is hiring on the team behind Carbon Design to bolster its product engineering group. The team will continue to operate out of Carbon Studio in Seattle. Oculus already has an R&D team in Redmond.
