Zillow Gets One Up On New Homes For Sale

Seattle-based real estate marketplace Zillow is looking to get one up on hot real estate listings, by lettimng real estate agents and homeowners list their properties--before they are actually for sale. According to Zillow, it has launched a new "Coming Soon" inventory which will help buyers identify homes that are expected to be listed for sale within 30 days. In hot real estate markets, determining which properties have just come on market has become a competitive issue, with new listings often spurring huge bidding wars. According to Zillow, its new area will now allow buyers to line up an agent and get pre-approval, in order to quickly put in an offer once those homes are actually listed. Zillow said the new feature will help buyers and real estate agents ability to test the list price against the current market, and also gauge buyer interest.
