Tripwire Hopes Interactive Site Will Attract Kids To Cybersecurity Careers
Saying that there is a big shortage of cybersecurity professionals, Portland-based software developer Tripwire said it is launching a new, web-based interactive program to try to show students the life of a cybersecurity professional. Tripwire said its new Tripwire LifeJourney site will enable middle, high school, and college students to "live a day in the life" of a cybersecurity professional, and test drive potential cybersecurity careers. Tripwire says the industry is hamstrung by a worldwide shortage of cybersecurity professionals, with millions of jobs unfilled around the world, and more growth expected in the industry. LifeJourney is a provider of online, career simulation products to help students test-drive future career opportunities.
