Redfin Expands To Rhode Island
Seattle-based online real estate brokerage Redfin is continuing its national expansion, saying today that it has expanded into Rhode Island. Redfin said it now covers the entire state of Rhode Island, with local Redfin agents. Redfin has been in the midst of an expansion of its unique twist on real estate, where it pays agents not based on sales, but a salary plus bonus based on customer satisfaction. The company also charges 1.5 percent to it clients versus the standard 2.5 percent in Rhode Island. Redfin recently also expanded into Virginia and Florida, as well as Las Vegas, and the Twin Cities, all since the beginning of the year.
