Blucora Completes HowStuffWorks Buy

Bellevue-based Blucora, the company behind both InfoSpace and TaxACT, said this morning that it has completed its acquisition of HowStuffWorks. The acquisition had been announced in April. Financial terms of the deal have not been announced. HowStuffWorks has a large collection of information on lots of very different topics--from "Can you escape a gator if you zig zag?" to "How the alternative minimum tax works". HowStuffWorks becomes part of Blucora's Infospace unit. HowStuffWorks was previously owned by Discovery Communications.
