Amazon In Big Expansion Of Sunday Delivery
Seattle-based Amazon.com is in a major expansion of its Sunday delivery effort today, saying that it has added fifteen new cities to its list of Sunday delivery areas--as part of a controversial effort with the United States Postal Service. According to Amazon, it has added Austin, Texas; Cincinnati, Ohio; College Station, Texas; Columbus, Ohio; Dallas, Texas; Houston, Texas; Indianapolis, Ind.; Lexington, Ky.; Louisville, Ky.; New Orleans, La.; Oklahoma City, Okla.; Philadelphia, Pa.; San Antonio, Texas; Shreveport, La.; and Waco, Texas to its list of markets where customers can get Sunday delivery of their orders from the e-commerce site. Amazon had launched Sunday delivery in November of 2013 in only Los Angeles and New York.
