Itron Wins Deal In Saudi Arabia

Liberty Lake, Washington-based Itron, the maker of smart utility meters, reported a win this week with the National Water Company of Saudi Arabia. Itron did not say how much the deal was worth. Itron said that the deal calls for the installation of its water technology in the city of Jeddah, to help conserve water resources in the city of more than 5 million people. Jeddah's water comes entirely from desalination plants, and Itron said its meters will help the utility and city and its customers better utilize those scarce water resources.
