Avalara Pulls Up $30M For Tax Software
Bainbridge Island-based Avalara, the developer of software which helps merchants keep track of the huge myriad of tax rules and rates around the country for sales taxes, has raised a big, $30M funding round, the company said Wednesday. Avalara said the new financing round was led by existing investors Battery Ventures and Sageview Capital. The new funding brings the company's total raised to an astounding more than $100M. Avalara's sales tax software is used by merchants to track and manage sales taxes and VAT, and properly process those payments to governments. More information »
