Rover.com Dangles $5,000 To Pet Sitters
Seattle-based Rover.com, the online marketplace which connects dog owners with dog sitters, said this week that it has launched a new program which provides up to $5,000 in promotional credit to dog sitters. The startup said its new Sitter Promotion program will offer up new customers $20 off their first stay with sitters, which are paid for by Rover. Rover said up to 250 new customers of each sitter can use the code, as part of an effort to help promote the service and sitters online. Rover.com said it will also let sitters order business cards, post cards, and lawn signs to push the promotion. Rover.com, which is led by Aaron Easterly, helps dog owners find dog sitters as an alternative to boarding facilities.
