Avado Acquired By WebMD

Redmond-based Avado, a developer of cloud-based, patient relationship management tools for the healthcare industry, has been acquird by WebMD Health Corp, WebMD said Tuesday. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. WebMD said it will use the buy to accelerate its "patient-physician connectivity" effort. Avado was founded by Dave Chase, Bassam Saliba and John Yii, and was backed by The Partnershpi Fund and angels.
