Amazon.com To Hire 70,000 For Holiday Season

Seattle-based Amazon.com said it will create 70,000 full time, seasonal jobs for the holiday season across its U.S. fulfillment centers. According to Amazon.com, the number of jobs is a 40 percent rise over last year. Amazon.com regularly hires a surge of workers to pick and pack items purchased from the online retailer during the holiday rush. Amazon also said it has converted "thousands" of those seasonal workers into full time employees for the company.
