Bill Gates Invests In Electric Grid Company Varentec

Bill Gates has made an investment in Varentecm, a developer of electric grid monitoring and control hardware, as part of an $8M, Series B funding. According to Varentec, that funding included both Bill Gates and Khosla Ventures, and will go towards production roll out of its systems. Varentec develops remote power grid controllers being used for demand management, improved asset utilization, and grid visibility for utilities and industrial applications. More information »
