Opscode Sets Barry Crist As CEO

Seattle-based Opscode is shuffling around its executive structure today, saying that Barry Crist has been named CEO and Chairman of the company. According to Opscode, the move comes as CEO Mitch Hill is stepping down, in order to address a personal health issue; Hill will remain on the company's board. The developer of cloud management software said Crist has been VP Enterprise at Opscode for the last five months, and also had previously been CEO of Likewise. In addition to those changes, Opscode also said it has named co-founder Adasm Jacob as CHief Dev Officer, and named Paul Edelhertz as its new SVP of Customer Operations.
