Redfin Pulls Back From Price Whisperer

Seattle-based Redfin--no stranger to controversy in the world of real estate--has pulled back its new Price Whisperer service in at least one market, after running afoul of MLS rules. The new service--only launched a week ago--which lets users get an idea of the worth of their homes without actually having to list those homes for sale, has apparently rankled real estate professionals, who have accused Redfin of trying to "pocket" sales, by connecting buyers and sellers without putting a property on local MLS systems. GeekWire reports that it has discovered Redfin has withdrawn Price Whisperer from at least the Seattle market.
