As Google Reader Exits, Black Pixel Has Big Plans For NetNewsWire
The move this week by Google to sunset its enormously popular RSS reader, Google Reader, has spurred a panic by users to find an alternative. That move has spurred on Seattle-based BlackPixel, the owner of the NetNewsWire RSS reader, to post some details on its plans for its software today--saying that it is planning new version of NetNewsWire for the Mac, iPhone, and iPad. Black Pixel acquired NetNewsWire back in 2011. Black Pixel now says the announcement by Google has "solidified and accelerated" its plans to modernize NetNewsWire.
