Syntrix Biosystems Wins $96M In Patent Lawsuit

Auburn, Washington-based Syntrix Biosystems has scored a big jury award as part of a patent infringement lawsuit, according to life sciences equipment maker Illumina. Illumina said it was ordered to pay the damages to Syntrix, based on a royalty on its BeadChip products sold between 2005 and May of 2012. Illumina said it will appeal the finding.
