Mentor Graphics Buys Automotive Linux Business From MontaVista
Mentor Graphics, the Wilsonville, Oregon-based developer of electronic design automation and related software, said this week that it has purchased certain assets from real time operating system developer MontaVista, which will help it expand its automotive Linux infotainment business. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. Mentor said the buy will add the capabilities of MontaVista's Automotive Technology Platform (ATP) to its range of tools for the market. The company said offerings from Mentor and MontaVista Automotive are in production at three automotive OEMs, with active development at seven Tier 1 automotive suppliers.
