ValueAppeal Lands Nearly $6.5M

Seattle-based ValueAppeal, which operates an online site to help homeowners appeal their property tax assessments, has just raised $6.49M in new funding. According to a regulatory filing, the funding came from 24 investors. ValueAppeal, which is headed by Charlie Walsh, provides an online service which helps individuals pull together all of the information needed for them to appeal their property tax assessments; it also launched a "PRO" service last year aimed at financial and real estate professionals to offer those same service to their own clients.
