Janrain Captures $33M
Portland-based Janrain, the developer of user management and registration tools for online websites, reported today that it has raised $33M in a funding round. The round came from Millennium Technology Value Partners, Split Rock Partners, Epic Ventures, and salesforce.com, and also included existing investors Emergence Capital, RPM Ventures, DFJ Frontier and Anthem Venture Partners. Janrain says the funding will go towards growth of the firm. Janrain said it more than doubled its revenues in 2012. The firm's software is used to capture and handle user registrations on websites; the firm originally started life to handle single sign-on and OpenID registrations. Millenium Technology's Dan Borok joins the company's board with the funding. More information »
