Target To Match Amazon.com Pricing

In a sign of how much Amazon.com's online efforts are hitting brick and mortar stores, retailer Target Corp. said Tuesday that it will begin price matching Amazon.com year round on items found on the web retailer. Target--which had offered price matching of Amazon.com previously during the holiday season--said it will match prices with Amazon.com, Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Toys R Us, and Babies R Us. However, the price matching doesn't mean overall lower pricing for shoppers: they will be required to get the matching price with a visit to Target's Guest Services department within seven days of purchase, and will only be able to match one product of each kind to online prices, which can be time consuming.
