INRIX Expands In China
Kirkland-based traffic provider INRIX is expanding its services in China, and has partnered with CenNavi, a traffic information services company in that country. Inrix said that the two have partnered to deliver real-time, predictive and historical traffic services across China, and that INRIX has also opened an office in Beijing. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. INRIX said that China is one of the fastest growing and most traffic-choked automotive markets in the world. Chinese drivers are clearly in need of some traffic help: in August of 2010, Beijing had the longest traffic jam in history, with cars stuck for 12 days in a traffic jam 62 miles long.
