Smarsh Adds Archiving For Yammer
Portland-based email archiving service Smarsh has expanded its tool to support instant messages from enterprise software developer Yammer, the company said Monday. Smarsh said its email archiving and compliance products will allow organizations to capture, preserve, search, and produce Yammer files and communications for compliance, e-discovery, and recordkeeping. Smarsh is the first company to provide archiving services for Yammer, which was recently acquired by Microsoft. Yammer's software provides a company internal, Twitter-like service used by companies for internal micro messaging and communications. Pricing on the new product was not announced.
