Washington State Third In Ad-Supported Internet Jobs

A new study, released by the Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB) this morning, says that Washington is home to the third largest number of U.S. internet firms. The study--conducted by Harvard University Business School--found that Washington had 24 firms employing 64,000 workers, behind only New York and California as one of the top states in digital industry jobs. The IAB did not detail exactly how it identified and categorized companies included in the study, which was targeted at studying the ad-supported Internet industry. New York was tops with 102 firms and 239,000 employees; California had 128 firms with 215,000 jobs.
