SEOmoz Eyes IPO
Seattle-based search engine optimization software developer SEOmoz founder Rand Fishkin said yesterday that the firm has set its sights on an IPO, as the company begins mulling an exit. The company said that, since it has taken institutional venture financing, the company is "on a course that demands a liquidity event." In a blog post talking about exits, Fishkin weighed such options as acquisition by another company, an acquisition by a private equity group, and an IPO, and said that the company has "really set our sights on" an IPO in the last year.
