Amazon Likely Announcing New Kindle Fire, Touch

Seattle-based Amazon.com reported this morning that its Amazon Kindle Fire is now sold out, just a few days after Amazon's Kindle Touch was reported being sold out as well on the online retailer. Both strongly point to new versions of the devices being announced next week at a press event being held September 5th. Amazon traditionally has held off on shipments of its popular products right before the announcement of upgrades and products. Amazon said the Kindle Fire now represents 22 percent of tablet sales in the U.S. The two products being "sold out" by Amazon strongly indicate new models of those devices will be unveiled at the press event.
