Hark Claims Traffic Uptick

Seattle-based Hark, the online site focused on pop culture and movie sound bites and clips, reported Wednesday that it has seen an uptick in its traffic. The firm said its Q1 and Q1 total site visits have doubled compared with the entire year of 2011, as the firm said demand for its library of audio clips has grown. The firm said it saw 143.4 million visits in Q1, and and 184.7 million visits in Q2 of this year, compared with only 20.7 million and 24.6 million for the same quarters in 2010. The startup did not speculate what drove the large growth in visitors on the site, only saying that the company sees "significant demand" for its library. Hark is the brainchild of David Aronchick and Fouad ElNaggar.
