Amazon Selects Four Content Projects

Amazon Studios, the content production arm of Amazon.com which is developing content for Amazon Prime, has selected the first four projects it is working on for that effort. Amazon said it has extended $10,000 as option extensions to the creators of The 100 Deaths of Mort Grimley (Angel Castlilo), Doomsday (Nathan Thomas), Magic Monkey Billionaire (Diana Wright), and Buck Plaidsheet (Frank Suarez and Clark Stubbs), three comedies and one children's title, aimed at starting to populate out exclusive content on Amazon Prime. The four are the first projects being optioned by Amazon as it starts to gear up its own efforts to find and produce its own exclusive content for its streaming media service.
