Madrona Backs ThisLife For Photo Sharing

Seattle-based venture investor Madrona Ventures has made another Silicon Valley investment, this time in a photo sharing site ThisLife. ThisLife said it has raised $2.75M in a Series A funding, led by Madrona Ventures, and also including Morado Ventures, Rogers Venture Partners, Brad Jefferson (Animoto), Sujal Patel (Isilon), and Brad Garlinghouse (YouSendIt). The firm operates an online service which helps user organize their photos, based on facial recognition, GPS location, timestamp, and more, and incorporates features to allow users to import their photos from Flickr, Instagram, and many other sites. Greg Gottesman of Madrona joins the company's board with the funding. More information »
