Larry Ellison, Not Bill Gates, Buys Hawaiian Island
It looks like it's not Bill Gates, but instead, Oracle mogul Larry Ellison who is acquiring the entire island of Lanai, Hawaii, plus two resorts, a number of golf courses, and 88,000 acres of land, after news today thta Ellison was indeed the buy one of the biggest islands in the Hawaiian island chain. Ellison reportedly paid $500M to $600M for Lanai. Microsoft's Bill Gates had earlier been rumored to be bidding on the island. Photo courtesy BigStock.com.
