PopCap Pulls Bejeweled Blitz From Google+

Seattle-based casual games maker PopCap has pulled its popular Bejeweled Blitz title from Google+, the social networking effort run by Google, saying that it has decided to suspend the title to "redeploy" its resources to other efforts. The pullback comes as a number of gaming firms have decided not to pursue development on Google's platform. Google had been looking to convince game makers to develop for its platform, as an alternative to Facebook. PopCap is a unit of EA.
