AppFog Connects Into Windows Azure

Portland-based AppFog, the provider of a cloud-based, platform-as-a-service aimed at web application developers, said Wednesday that it has tied with Microsoft to support Windows Azure application development. AppFog said the next version of AppFog will provide developers with full support of Window Azure's PHP, Node.js, and .NET platform, allowing developers to migrate their application between other cloud providers and Azure without code changes. AppFog is venture backed by Ignition Partners, Madrona Venture Group, First Round Capital, as well as angels.
