AppFog Connects With Developers

Portland-based AppFog, the startup offering platform-as-a-service instances of PHP, Ruby, Node.js, and Java software, announced today that it has added a new way for third party developers to connect with the firm. AppFog said its new, add-on program will provide customers a way to provision and integrate additional functionality from third party services, from a single interface. AppFog said that partners on the effort include MongoLab and New Relic, whose products can be found in a new add-on catalog. AppFog is backed by Ignition Partners, Madrona Venture Group, First Round Capital, Founders Co-op, as well as others.
