Amazon Debuts Test Drive For Android Apps

Seattle-based Amazon.com is set to allow Android users to "test drive" mobile apps on their phone, before purchase, telling its developers today that it has launched a beta rollout of its Test Drive feature on Android phones. Android said the program allow customer learn more about new apps, allowing them to download and try out apps on their phones, without having to download or install anything on their phone. Amazon told its developers that it has enabled over 5,000 apps for a Test Drive on Android phones so far. The new feature runs on the latest release of Amazon Appstore for Android, and allows users to use their touch screen and accelerometer to try out an app as if it were freshly installed, before getting a chance to purchase or download the app.
