Report: Amazon Targeting The Fashion Industry
Having completely changed the landscape in such industries as book, music, movie, and other industries, Seattle-based Amazon.com has set its sights on a new industry: high fashion. According to a report from the New York Times, Amazon is looking to apply its low cost e-commerce model to the fashion industry, making a "significant" investment to work with top brands in the fashion industry to work with the company. The report says that traditional retail world is "gearing up to fight for their lives."
