Amazon Gets Tax Win In Colorado
A judge has tossed a 2010, Colorado law looking to force retailers like Amazon.com to collect state sales tax, according to a report today from the Denver Post. According to the report, a judge ruled Friday that the tax imposed an "undue burden on interstate commerce". The law--one of a number being passed by individual states, eager to tap into sales tax revenues from online sales to Amazon.com and others--had been passed as a way to help balance Colorado's budget. Colorado is not the only state which has been trying to force Amazon.com to collect state taxes on behalf of those states.
