Sony Cuts 80 Jobs In Seattle
Sony has cut 80 jobs at its Zipper Interactive internal game development studio in Seattle, the firm said Friday, part of a restructuring of its video game development efforts. Zipper Interactive had been working on developing PlayStation games for the company, and had been acquired by Sony Computer Entertainment in 2006. The studio worked on Sony's SOCOM line of military simulation games.
