RealNetworks Chops 130

Seattle-based RealNetworks said Tuesday afternoon that it has cut 130 jobs, or approximately 10 percent of its workforce. The firm said the move would create a "more efficient and focused company." RealNetworks said it cut positions globally in engineering, sales, marketing and administration, and that it would take a $3M restructuring charge in the first quarter due to the cuts. The firm said it hopes to save $11M in annualized cost savings from making the cuts.
