Amazon Kindle Touch 3G Up For International Preorders
Seattle-based Amazon.com said late Tuesday afternoon that it is offering up the Kindle Touch 3G internationally, making the device available in over 175 countries. The Kindle e-reader, which allows users to download books via a 3G network, without requiring a Wi-Fi connection, is available for pre-order in the UK, Germany, France, and Italy, and is expected to ship to customers on April 27th. The device supports seven languages, including German, French, Italian, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese and American or British English. Amazon's devices typically are delayed a number of months between U.S. and international availability; users outside the U.S. are still awaiting the company's Android based Kindle Fire tablet.
