FutureAdvisor Finds Funding
Seattle-based FutureAdvisor, a new startup headed by Bo Lu, said this morning that it has scored a round of funding for the firm, from Sequoia Capital, Keith Rabois, and Jeremy Stoppelman. The startup is developing an online service to help investors analyze their holdings, and help them find the right mix of investments for them. According to FutureAdvisor's Lu, the startup connects into a user's investment accounts--particularly 401Ks--and provides a customized, personalized plan to help those investors. Lu likened FutureAdvisor to being a "Mint.com for your 401K". The startup is graduate of the Y Combinator accelerator program, and co-founders Bo Lu and Jon Xu were both previously at Microsoft.
