PDF Software Firm Foxit Boosted By Amazon

Seattle-based Amazon.com looks to be working on adding the ability for its Kindle reader to read PDF files today, as it made a strategic investment in Foxit, a developer of PDF creation and reading software. Foxit said that Amazon invested in the company as part of an effort to help Amazon add PDF support in both the Kindle devices and reading apps. Financial terms of the investment were not disclosed.
