Banyan Branch Finds $1.7M
Seattle-based Banyan Branch, a provider of social media marketing services, said this morning that it has raised $1.7M in a growth funding round. The funding came from Bob Gay (Huntsman Gay Global Capital), Bill Bryant (Draper Fisher Jurvetson), Geoff Entress (Voyager Capital), Neil Patel (KISSmetrics), Chas Franklin (Qpass), Taft Price (Oakley Networks), Adam Gross (The Jordan, Edmiston Group), Andrew Garnock, and John MOrris (West Olympic Investments). According to the firm, the funding round will go towards growth into key verticals and investment in its technology and processes. Banyan Branch is headed by Dave Hanley (Shelfari), Blake Cahill (Visible Technologies), and Alex Garcia (Drive-Thru Records). Geoff Entress joins the company's board as part of the funding.
