Tippr Settles Lawsuits, Says Report
Seattle-based Tippr, the provider of white label, daily deals software which is headed my Martin Tobias, has quietly settled all of the lawsuits it has filed against daily deals sites, according to a report today. Xconomy reports that all of the lawsuits so far filed by Tippr, based on its trove of daily deal patents, have been settled. No terms of those settlements have been announced or disclosed. Tippr had sued fourteen daily deals companies, including DealOn, BuyWithme, HomeRun, and a number of others, using patents it acquired from Vulcan Capital in February of 2010.
